Hiking with the whole family

Hiking over hills, expansive pastures, lush green summer meadows, past the sound of cowbells and up to the summit: there’s so much to enjoy. Dip your toes in the fresh spring water and drink a sip or jump into a mountain lake.

Enjoy an invigorating break in one of the numerous huts and sample some bacon dumplings, fresh buttermilk, cheese and hearty afternoon snacks. If you don’t want to hike, a hiking taxi can make the ascent a bit easier.

Ziller valley climbing paradise

Experienced mountain guides, who know their homeland like the back of their hand, will accompany you on your climbs and show you all the tricks for overcoming even difficult passages.

In the Ziller Valley climbing gardens there is always a climbing garden for beginners to try out.

Zillertal alps nature park

The Zillertal Alps Nature Park lies in the rear Ziller Valley and protects, across an area of 379 km², an impressive natural and cultural landscape to the north of the main alpine ridge at a height of 1,000 to 3,509 m. A special experience is the view of the glacier.

Deep gorges form the entrance to the five tributaries of the nature park, which are known as the “Gründe” in the Ziller Valley and open at the end into extensive grazing areas.

Tux adventure trail

The valley hiking trail along the Tuxbach is a hit. You can hike, do sport and play here. 8 kilometres full of adventure, fun and excitement in the outdoors.
Stations: Tarzan cableway, water games, adventure stables, climbing station

Route: start in Vorderlanersbach – hiking trail no. 10 – Hintertux
Walking time: approx. 2 1/2 hrs.
Character: gentle hike
